Travel/Medical Insurance
Now read this carefully! For a tourist in Japan, if you need medical treatment, it is not free. Further, you must “PAY IN CASH” any and all fees before you can leave the hospital, no exceptions or excuses.
No matter where anyone goes overseas, you should always have Travel/Medical insurance. Never, leave home without it! If you are irresponsible and senseless enough to leave without insurance and something serious happens, you will enslave yourself and possibly your loved ones with the full financial responsibility to get you out of your predicament. If something serious happens, the monstrous inconceivable medical costs could also limit the medical treatment accessible to you, which could have lifelong consequences if you don't have TRAVEL INSURANCE.
If it is not clear yet, DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT TRAVEL/MEDICAL INSURANCE. Travel insurance is peace of mind and it is inexpensive compared to the consequences. Also, the same insurance will cover the replacement of most items that you take with you on holiday if you are unfortunate to have something stolen or lost.
